Joni turns 78 this weekend.
Some Fun Facts about Joni Mitchell:
Her first name is Roberta and her maiden name was Anderson
She taught herself to play guitar, ukulele and dulcimer
Her first album, “Song for a Seagull,” is released. The album is also known as “Joni Mitchell.”
The song "Our House" AKA "an ode to countercultural domestic bliss", was written while Nash was living with Joni Mitchell, (and her two cats) in her house in Laurel Canyon outside Los Angeles), after they had gone out for breakfast and had bought an inexpensive vase on Ventura Boulevard Nash wrote the song in an hour, on Mitchell's piano.
One of our favorites is this tune... Enjoy it live.
Why is so great...? Well, Joni and...
Yes, that is Pat Metheny and Jaco Pastorius, on guitar and bass respectively!
