Over the past several weeks, perhaps months, I have had some turmoils in my life. I would like to say that they relate to my two-wheeled life, but other antics and hijinks have thrown the trolley off the track. Not to worry, the cart is in the process of being righted so things will work themselves out as we always hope they will.

While dealing with these events, I had a good long time to think and reflect on how our daily habits and routines effect our riding and motorcycle lives.

Ducati called my ride in northern Italy a blind test of the prototype Multistrada V4, which will become the newest Pikes Peak variant of the adventure-tourer and is to be revealed to press and public at the end of this year. Ducati let me loose on the bike at the Autodromo di Modena, but remained guarded about its probable price, weight, and power and torque figures. And since the company wasn’t ready to reveal any significant specifications, it was just a case of jumping on and riding the thing.

Ask someone if they’re going to outten the lights before they go dahntahn, and they might look at you as if you’ve sprouted a second head. We can usually spot if the other person is a tried and true Pennsylvanian by the way they speak and, in particular, how they pronounce some of those hard-to-pronounce Pennsylvania destinations.

The Dire Wolf is an extinct canine.

Maybe?

It was one of the most famous prehistoric carnivores in North America, along with its extinct competitor Smilodon, also known as the Saber Tooth Tiger.

The Dire Wolf lived in the Americas and eastern Asia during the Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene epoch.
But, occasionally Mother Nature reaches back and freaks of history occurs.

Some Fun Facts about Joni Mitchell:

Her first name is Roberta and her maiden name was Anderson

She taught herself to play guitar, ukulele and dulcimer

Her first album, “Song for a Seagull,” is released. The album is also known as “Joni Mitchell.”

The song "Our House" AKA "an ode to countercultural domestic bliss", was written while Nash was living with Joni Mitchell, (and her two cats⁾ in her house in Laurel Canyon outside Los Angeles), after they had gone out for breakfast and had bought an inexpensive vase on Ventura Boulevard Nash wrote the song in an hour, on Mitchell's piano.

All those ghost tales mean one thing: we have a pretty good chance of experiencing the paranormal without traveling too far from home.
