Several years back some of our “Baker Street Irregulars” began a FaceBook page called Post Backroads Fun Syndrome. It was their way to keep the fun, frivolity, and feeling that so many have experienced at any of our rallies. In truth, we were humbled and bewildered that these great friends would do something like this. You all rock. When we got home from Ecuador in late March, after the toughest and, I’ll say it, dumbest overseas Backroads event we have ever held, I thought about this page and how I, and I think we all, have our own ‘Post Time Rituals.

Concealed Carry While Riding

What to know about concealed carry laws and how best to carry.

It’s nothing new to say that motorcycle riding poses a number of inherent dangers to the rider. Falling off two wheels is never fun, and the possibility of a crash is always something that riders should be wary of and prepare for accordingly. But what other dangers do riders need to consider?

The overall odds are still small, but some would rather be safe than sorry. That’s why many riders choose to carry a concealed weapon for self-defense when riding. Regardless of one’s political stance, the fact is gun ownership and motorcycle ownership have long gone hand-in-hand.

Kawasaki has dropped teasers for its first electric two-wheeler, with an announcement date of June 7. The 15-second teasers released on social media channels show images of a young rider and a dirt course, ending with the tag line: “The Good Times are Electric.”

The Backroads Summer Sojourn

This summer we won't be squeezing anymore.

Nope - we'll being sojourning!

Following the basic formula of our Spring and Fall Rallies - the Summer Sojourn will cover lots of miles and offer plenty to see and experience.

We will be starting and finish this long weekend adventure in the familiar haunt of West Dover, Vermont, at either the Kitzhof or Gray Ghost Inn - arriving Friday and coming back on Monday, with a group dinner on Monday.

In between we'll spend two nights at the Town & Country Inn in the Mount Washington region and roaming around the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Maine.

As always we'll offer a few rides through the weekend and

Brian's day trip on Sunday will follow along a Rockin' in the Free World theme... without the Earthly political BS!

In fact, you might just get hold of something a bit

off-worldly. Trust us - what could go wrong?

We all need to be better riders and these two days with Reg Pridmore and company will do just that.

Since his beginnings as a racer in 1961 to his 3 AMA Superbike Championships, to CLASS beginning in 1986, Reg Pridmore has maintained an unending enthusiasm and desire to help riders by teaching control, technique and survival. From the very first days in his race leathers in Denver and Riverside, to most of the best tracks in the USA with the full CLASS team, to D-Days and Motor Officers Advanced Training at Streets of Willow,

Reg’s CLASS continues to expand street rider enthusiasm and skill in a way that track days and race schools can’t.

There are still a VERY limited number of spots open and this might just be the last time CLASS is held here in the east.
