When we look at modern motorcycles, compared to the machines of yesteryear, or even a decade or so back – there is so much more in play regarding technology.

Traction Control, Anti-Lock Braking, and Variable Power Modes all work together in a great waltz of computers, sensors, and algorithms allowing for even the moderately talented rider to do so much more on the bikes safely. BMW R 1300 GS Photos Leaked

BMW will be revealing its 2024 R 1300 GS next week, but photos of the new adventure bike have leaked online, revealing its styling and other details.

The first batch of photos we came across were reportedly first shared on Facebook, but reposted on a German GS Forum (and shared again on ADVrider.com, where we became aware of their existence). This first set included photos someone took of a PDF marked as “Strictly Confidential.”

NYC Motorcycle Protest this Monday!

Join Riders Against Congestion to Protest Monday,

Oct 2nd, 2PM, at 2 Broadway- MTA Headquarters

The protest will beheld front of the MTA headquarters at 2 Broadway in Lower Manhattan. They’ll be protesting the MTA’s plan to charge lightweight, congestion reducing vehicles exactly the same toll as a car or truck under their upcoming congestion pricing plan.

It’s hard to believe that Cheryl Stewart still fighting against something so conspicuously unfair. We read our well reasoned statements during the MTA hearings, and we wrote our polite letters as we were directed, but the MTA just didn’t listen. It’s time to join with our motorcycling friends and let our voices be heard.

RAC will be protesting prior to the next meeting of the Transportation Mobility Review Board which will decide congestion pricing toll rates. They need to see who we are. After our protest, all are encouraged to join us at the TMRB meeting from 3:30-4:30PM at 2 Broadway, 20th floor. We won’t be able to speak out during the meeting, but we can sit with our signs prominently displayed for the cameras.

The Truth is Out There... in Mexico?

The latest twist in the saga of the alleged alien remains unveiled in Mexico last week saw one of the bodies subjected to an x-ray as well as a CT scan in an attempt to get a better understanding of their nature. The pair of peculiar specimens caused something of a sensation when they were presented to the Mexican Congress by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan at a hearing last Tuesday evening. Spawning headlines around the world and all manner of amusing memes on social media, the purported non-human entities were largely dismissed by skeptical scientists, who understandably called for further testing on the bodies in order to confirm the fantastic claims surrounding them.

This four day, long distance, self guided motorcycle tour is based out of the High Life Ski Club Lodge, located in Rutland, Vermont. Each day is 300 plus miles, with different interesting checkpoints throughout the day. includes 5 nights lodging at the ski lodge, cold breakfast, and catered hot dinners. When you think of disasters in New York, nothing could compare to the horrors of September 11, 2001. Nearly a century before that horrific day, another tragic disaster occurred here. In June 1904, the General Slocum steamboat caught fire and sank in New York City’s East River. The disaster was the worst to occur in New York in terms of loss of life up to that point. More than 1,000 people perished in the accident.
