You'll notice a few more motorcycles on the road this year on June 11th because it's the 33rd annual 'Ride to Work Day'. World-wide, more than an estimated million riders become two-wheeled commuters to demonstrate riding as a fun and practical form of utility transportation.

Lying southwest of New York City, New Jersey is the spiritual home of the American diner, with almost 600 — the most of any state. Since 1913, when the first stationary lunch car was set up here to feed roadtrippers quickly and cheaply, diners have become institutions, known for their retro settings and generous helpings of comfort food. Many are open around the clock and owned by families that pass their aprons — and calorific recipes — down through the generations.

Warp drives may actually be possible someday.

A new study provides some theoretical underpinning to warp drives, suggesting that the superfast propulsion tech may not forever elude humanity.

Sci-fi fans — especially "Star Trek" devotees — are familiar with warp drives. These hypothetical engines manipulate the fabric of space-time itself, compressing the stuff in front of a spaceship and expanding it behind. This creates a "warp bubble" that allows a craft to travel at incredible velocities — in some imaginings, many times faster than the speed of light.

What is a Motomarathon?

Motomarathon is a new sport. It’s about riding as many twisties and scenic roads as possible, over four full days. Routes are kept secret until the night before each event. Through a series of self-recorded checkpoints, riders verify completion at the end of each day’s ride.

These are going to be awesome riding events!

One from the Shawnee, PA region in June and the other to the north in Rutland, VT this September.
