Hot Wheels celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018 with one of its best years ever. We called our old friend and Hot Wheels-fanatic Bruce Pascal to check up on what’s changed since last year in terms of rare and valuable cars. His collection of more than 7000 items is valued at just over $1 million. So he knows his stuff.

The tour begins on sandy two track, rising out of the Rio Grande valley into the high desert. The first day will have us riding several river washes and visiting at least 2 hidden ghost towns. Ultimately, the beautifully restored Magdalena Hall hotel and the historic town of Magdalena, which is a sort of ghost town in itself, awaits us. From there, we explore lush Aspen forests, high mountain peaks, rocky desert trails, canyon interiors, many ghost towns and historical relics from a day when New Mexico was even less populated than it is now - hard to believe! Each evening, we will find ourselves at a different lodging establishment; a mix of historic Inns, remote cabins, hunting lodges and cool downtown hotels.
