CB650R & CBR650R Bring Honda E-Clutch Technology to the U.S. Powersports Market

American Honda confirmed that Honda E-Clutch technology will be offered to U.S. customers on the 2024 CB650R and CBR650R. Previously unveiled in Europe, the cutting-edge feature delivers several benefits, making the riding experience easier, sportier and less fatiguing. Now available to U.S. customers on Honda's middleweight standard and sport bikes, Honda E-Clutch is appealing to riders of widely varying skill and experience levels, enabling all to focus on the fun of riding more comfortably. In addition to E-Clutch, the new CB650R and CBR650R receive other important updates, including styling, LED lighting and a new TFT screen.

We don't think you have much to fear about Lucky 13!

After a year off the 13th Backroads' Summer Squeeze Rally will head back to Southern Vermont, and we have rooms blocked at both the Gray Ghost Inn and the Kitzhof Inn - both just down the road from each other on Route 100, in West Dover, Vermont.

This rally "squeezes" in some great riding during a part of the week that sees the roads of Vermont far more open and free of traffic.

It is simply great riding and so much more fun!

There will be a couple of very neat routes, and maybe a bit of fun & games along with them, along with some evening porch guitar time.

12-19 and 21-28, 2024

The tour begins on sandy two track, rising out of the Rio Grande valley into the high desert.  The first day will have us riding several river washes and visiting at least 2 hidden ghost towns. Ultimately, the beautifully restored Magdalena Hall hotel and the historic town of Magdalena, which is a sort of ghost town in itself, awaits us. From there, we explore lush Aspen forests, high mountain peaks, rocky desert trails, canyon interiors, many ghost towns and historical relics from a day when New Mexico was even less populated than it is now - hard to believe!  Each evening, we will find ourselves at a different lodging establishment; a mix of historic Inns, remote cabins, hunting lodges and cool downtown hotels.
